Announcing: Byron Yoga Center from Australia will conduct Special Workshop Series in Jakarta

Apr 24, 2012   //   by bliss   //   Blog  //  No Comments

As Yoga become more popular worldwide, according to The New York Times, the number of Americans doing yoga has risen from about 4 million in 2001 to what some estimate to be as many as 20 million in 2011 — means that there is now an abundance of studios where many teachers lack the deeper training necessary to recognize when students are headed toward injury.

Same scenario also happens in Jakarta.  According to Tina Maladi, Yoga practitioner and studio owner,” I have seen many friends get injured from yoga practice, because of that I would like to help yoga beginner practitioner and yoga teachers to learn Yoga’s foundational skills so that they can avoid injuries, practice at their own level and have ability to be certified as a yoga instructor”.

For 23 years, John Ogilvie, is one of Australia’s most respected and experienced teacher, and founder of Byron Bay’s long time yoga school, has helped thousands of yoga practitioner in Australia receive yoga instructions that are clear and simple, always with a focus on keeping his students safe and only work at a level appropriate to them, at any given time.

Byron Yoga Center and Bliss Wellness Co. has conducted a joint venture to do a Purna Yoga Special Workshop Series in Jakarta starting on April 7th – 8th, 2012.  Within 2 days, John Ogilvie will teach attendees to learn the full spectrum of Purna Yoga that includes a holistic approach to yoga on both physical and philosophical requirements to avoid injury and a safe practice.

Used to Think

Used to think I’m a painter

But I am a brush with splendor

Used to think I’m a writer

But I am word with affection

Used to think I’m a singer

But I am voice with passion

Used to think I love rain

But I am rain

Used to think I am at awe with the moon

But I am the shadow it casts

Used to think I want to be the ocean

But indeed I am the wave it ripples

Used to think I want to be in love

But indeed I am love

Used to think I have to find my destination

Indeed I am home

Used to think I have to be big

But I am just someone with stories to tell

With experiences to share
